Blind Willie's Blues Club

W.C. Handy Award Winner - Blues Club of the Year

Live Music Events Calendar & Concert Schedule

From Eric King and his partners:

Blind Willie’s mourns the loss of one of its own. Carlos “Breeze” Capote passed away on May 30, 2021. With his band, The Breeze Kings, Carlos played for many years at Blind Willie’s as well as at venues, concerts and festivals across the United States and in Europe.

Carlos was passionate about keeping the music alive and, as a founder and musical director of the Atlanta Blues Society’s “Blues in the Schools” initiative, he ensured that additional generations would be educated to the history of, and entertained by, the blues. While winning recognition for his musical talent and dedication, Carlos was also a genuinely nice guy who was always upbeat and ready to make others smile. He will be truly missed.

Wednesday Nights are Back!

Starting June 2, Blind Willie's will be open with live music on Wednesday nights. The usual cover charge will be $5. Join us for five nights of live music every week, from Wednesday through Sunday.

Thursday Nights are Back!

Starting April 1, Blind Willie's will be open with live music on Thursday nights. The usual cover charge will be $5. Every weekend is a long weekend. Join us for four nights of live music every week, from Thursday through Sunday.

Cash Cover Charge Returns

Starting March 5, we will return to collecting a cover charge for shows. It will be $10 on Fridays & Saturdays, and $5 on Sundays.

We want to thank all of the artists who played and helped during the still times last year, as well as to all of the customers who were generous with their tips in supporting the musicians. Those are still encouraged, even with the return of a cover charge.

We Are Open

Blind Willie's is currently open and operating. For now, we are only open three days a week: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. See the entertainment calendar for doors times and show times. We look forward to welcoming you back!

The number of patrons will be limited in accordance with current guidelines with respect to our capacity and social distancing. Staff will continue to sanitize, wear masks & gloves, and follow guideline protocols.

Masks will be required at Blind Willie's at all times. Unless you are actively eating or drinking, you must have a mask on while inside the club. If you do not have a mask, we will make one available to you.

Thank you for your support and continued messages of encouragement over the last few months. Our number one priority is the well being of our staff, customers & family.

Blind Willie's: An Atlanta Blues Festival Every Week

With live Blues concerts six nights a week, Blind Willie's is like an eternal Atlanta Blues Festival. For nearly 10,000 nights, the good music just keeps coming. An endless lineup of blues musicians have graced our stage night after night and week after week. You need not wait weeks or months for a formal blues festival, we have live music nearby, right now.

In the heart of Atlanta's Virginia-Highland's bar district

Filled with restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs, the Virginia-Highland neighborhood (VaHi) is one of Atlanta's best destinations for a date night or a night out with friends. It is your prime choice for things to do in Atlanta tonight. Blind Willie's is on the same block as Darkhorse Tavern, Limerick Junction Irish Pub, 10 High Club, and The Warren City Club. A very short walk connects us to Diesel Filling Station, Atkins Park Tavern or Neighbor's Pub.

Bars in Virginia-Highlands are super close together and walkable, so you can bounce around and make a great night of it. North Highland Avenue, just North of Ponce de Leon Avenue and Old Fourth Ward, is a dense nightlife strip where everything is near the party.

In town for a convention? Skip the super commercial restaurants and bars in downtown Atlanta and come to authentic local institutions. VaHi is a short 3 mile Uber/Lyft ride away from downtown. You could even take protected cycle tracks and the Beltline Eastside Trail, if you are motivated, because it is just that close.

Whether you start at Blind Willie's or end up there, when you are ready for great live music, the best of Southern Blues Food, solid beer, just the right drink, or a cozy warm atmosphere, Blind Willie's is the place you want to be. Come to the Highlands and Blind Willie's for a great night out!
